Hair wars won

Crikey! After three long months of searching, I finally found a good London salon to go to for my winter weekly wash and sets. It’s a cute little mother and daughter owned shop called SVB (call 011 44 20 8291 5555 for appointments). I’ve tried several stylists during my time here but few knew how to work with my hair without leaving it looking A) greasy B) like Amy Winehouse’s long-lost wig or C) frizzy at the roots and straight at the ends. Even better, the salon is only 20 minutes away from my neighborhood. My boyfriend of all people (he’s white) found the place while exploring the area on his bike. Needless to say, I wasted no time in booking appointment. Victoria (the daughter) gave me a wash and set just like the one I used to get at my beloved Martiza’s in Harlem and knew how to handle my roots without giving me the Kunta Becky to boot. Success!
