Why we’re not completely sold on satin

Chanel Blue Satin
We called the ladies over at Chanel and attempted to call in a bottle of their new Blue Satin nail polish only to find out that the rumors were true: the PR department was all out and the lacquer is already on backorder in most stores.

While the color looked cool within the context of Karl Lagerfeld’s spring 2008 collection, it doesn’t seem to translate to real-life as easily as its equally popular cousin Black Satin did last year. In theory, it seems very Grace Jones. In reality, though, the color will forever remind us of 8th grade manicure experimentations with Wet n Wild.
